Shawn Singleterry, Director at West Hawk Commercial Real Estate, supports the development and growth of the company’s commercial real estate group in the Placer, El Dorado, Nevada, Sacramento, Sutter & Yuba County markets. His focus is to develop true working relationships for property sale, purchase, lease and development – industrial, office, mixed use, multi-family, land and retail; negotiating contract terms, reviewing and ensuring document accuracy; and guiding clients through preview, concept, predevelopment and the escrow process.
With over 35 years as a business owner including commercial and residential property ownership, Shawn has extensive knowledge and experience in commercial property sale, land purchase, sale & development, and landlord & tenant representation. A leader in real estate investments and property development, he utilizes skills built upon his education in Real Estate Program/Project Management and core values in engineering. His experience includes development with focuses on investment properties, land and asset acquisition, due diligence and entitlement process of major real estate projects. Complementing his Commercial Real Estate Practice, business development and management skills, he has a depth of financial experience, negotiating and structuring both debt and equity positions. Previously as Director of Guardian Technology Systems, Shawn brings industry-leading skills and expertise to the forefront by providing consultative design, management and execution of commercial, governmental, military property development and construction programs. He has negotiated major contracts for real estate renovation and development projects for commercial, military and government agencies. Heavily involved in commercial real estate associated with business development, marketing, finance and program management, Shawn maintains a broad network of finance and industry contacts providing clients with feasibility, entitlement, land, site planning and project management services.
Personal Information
Shawn has an extensive educational background with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from San Diego State University. Shawn is also a veteran U.S. Navy Corpsman (Sea/Air Rescue), and a Vietnam Veteran. He is a current member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), and resides with his wife in Granite Bay, California.
